WHAT IS A CUSTOM ORDER?

A custom order is a special or individual order different from the products in the main collection. 

All custom orders are final sales, and cannot be refunded or exchanged. When placing your custom order the full amount is payed in advance. (Custom orders above 5000 DKK can be split into two payments). 

If you wish to place a custom order, please consider the following steps:

1 : Your idea - small or big. What is your product? Think carefully about design and function. Find examples or draw a sketch.  

2 : Contact me at info@silleknotte.dk. Get in touch and tell me about your idea. As many details as possible, which colour do you prefer, stitching, metal details, leather thickness aso. Don't worry, I'll help you get there. 

3 : Quote. The price of course depends on the project - smaller objects just as wallets, belts, key rings can be made much faster and for less than a bag or upholstery for a chair. However, every item is made by hand and a custom order is never cheaper than its equivalent from the main collection. Fx a custom order wallet in the same size as a Grant wallet is never less than 750 DKK. 

When ordering larger products such as custom bags and upholstery, it is important to consider the time I spend estimating the price. Each custom order is unique, hence the process is very often unique as well. 

Placing a request for a quote should be made with a serious intend, and your feedback with an acceptance or a decline is always much appreciated.

REPAIRS.

If you have a bag or another leather item which needs repair, please swing by the shop with the item. If you are not able to swing by the shop, you are welcome to send me an email with a description and photos of the part that needs repairing. 

Time and price estimates are difficult when it comes to repairs. This is how I find it works the best: 

• Please allow me to make an initial and rough estimate of both the work and the price.
• Your acceptance of how the repair will be carried out and the rough estimate.
• I then make a thorough inspection of the item in my workshop and evaluate the price.
• I either confirm the estimate or send you a new and fixed price. I do my utmost to asses the item carefully and precisely from the beginning, however old leather bags can hold secrets, which are only revealed when the bags is taken apart.
